My work concerns the investigation of space, exploring a cosmos of repetition, entropy, temporality and transience. Space is the undefinable, the wild, the unknown, the intangible. For our perception, space is immeasurable. There is no metric unit that can capture its dimensions and that's why I consider each of my works as a place. A place is a pause in space. A pause is an attempt to enclose and hold space.
In my practice I explore the relationship between two- and three-dimensionality through material and surface with a focus on printmaking, drawing and analogue photography. Paper transcends the role of image recipient. Its qualities and properties play a central part in my decision making process.
