A single teaspoon of healthy soil contains more microorganisms than there are people on Earth; a healthy soil microbiome is increasingly linked to healthy human gut flora through the production of nutritious food.: Healthy soils produce healthy food.
The multitude of interwoven (earthly) realities is particularly evident in global polycrisiscrises: in the struggle for resources, in the accompanying rise of nation-states, and in human-induced climate change. At the same time, the focus on the soil raises the question of the foundation upon which a community can grow in the spirit of conviviality. The exhibition Tingling Earth - Schauer unter der Haut der Erde 🔥 is an invitation to anyone open to alternative realities and visions of the future. We explore the potential of art to develop practices that make related structures (re)visible. What ground could an ecological union take root on?
